Currently, I am working in the Ecosystem Sciences Division (ESD) of the NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) to operationalize a social-ecological model that quantifies the social, cultural, and economic benefits of nearshore marine resources. Through defining tipping points of social indicators, our project aims to link ecosystem shifts and social shifts to enhance the predictive capacity of social-ecological systems modeling for resource management.
